Built Around Families.
Driven by Better Ways to Care.
Radiant Ascension Behavioral Therapy was built by professionals who believe behavioral support should be evidence-based, practical, compassionate, and designed around the lives families actually live.
We believe in the science of behavior analysis. We also believe good care requires listening, flexibility, creativity, collaboration, and the willingness to keep asking how we can do better.
Built Differently, On Purpose
Effective behavioral support should fit into real life, not require families to reshape their lives around therapy.
Science Without Losing the Human Side
Our work is grounded in Applied Behavior Analysis and evidence-based practice, but families are never reduced to data points. Progress should matter in the life a child and family are actually living.
Family Confidence, Not Dependence
Professionals are only one part of a family's story. Our goal is to give caregivers useful knowledge, practical strategies, and confidence they can continue using long after a session ends.
Innovation With a Purpose
We stay curious about better ways to support families, train professionals, communicate, use technology, and deliver care. New does not automatically mean better. It has to solve a real problem and earn its place.
Meet the People Behind RABT
Our leadership combines clinical expertise, years of direct behavioral care, caregiver collaboration, team development, operations, and a shared belief that families deserve support that feels both effective and human.
Nikki O'Brien, M.A., BCBA, LBA
Nikki is a Board Certified Behavior Analyst and Licensed Behavior Analyst dedicated to helping children, caregivers, and families create meaningful change within everyday life. Her experience across home, clinic, and community settings shaped a philosophy that remains central to RABT: families already possess tremendous strengths, knowledge, and resilience.
While her work is grounded in the science of Applied Behavior Analysis, Nikki's approach extends beyond traditional behavior intervention. She views behavior analysis as a tool for building skills, strengthening relationships, solving everyday challenges, and supporting the family system as a whole.
She is particularly passionate about caregiver support. When caregivers understand why behavior is happening and feel confident responding to it, progress is no longer limited to the hours a professional is present.
“I believe the power for meaningful change belongs within the family. My role is to help families access that power, strengthen it, and carry it forward in the moments and environments where life happens every day.”
Beyond the Credential +
Nikki believes learning should leave room for laughter. She is perfectly comfortable being silly, making funny voices, following a child's interests, and celebrating tiny victories like enormous ones.
Curiosity is a big part of who she is outside of work, too. She loves books, science, space, discovering how things work, and disappearing down the occasional fascinating research rabbit hole. She is also a lifelong animal lover.
For Nikki, the best learning happens when knowledge and joy, structure and flexibility, and science and genuine human connection are allowed to exist together.
J Landry, B.A., RBT
J is a Registered Behavior Technician and behavioral healthcare professional with experience supporting children, families, and clinical teams across home, clinic, and community settings in both Colorado and North Carolina. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Brevard College before entering the field of behavior analysis in 2020.
Years of direct care and leadership experience have shaped his practical perspective on behavioral healthcare. Effective treatment cannot exist only on paper. Strategies need to make sense in real environments, communication needs to be clear, families need to feel heard, and the systems surrounding clinical care should make receiving support easier rather than more complicated.
At RABT, J focuses on the intersection of direct care, staff support, family experience, operations, and innovation. He is especially interested in finding better ways to use training, systems, and technology to reduce unnecessary friction while keeping people at the center of behavioral care.
Beyond the Credential +
Outside of work, J is most at home in the mountains of Western North Carolina. Running, hiking, and spending time on the trails provide both a challenge and a reset.
He is also endlessly curious and rarely satisfied with accepting “that's just how it's done” as an answer. Whether he is exploring new technology, building something from scratch, learning about an unfamiliar subject, or finding a more efficient way to solve an everyday problem, curiosity tends to follow him everywhere.
Small Team.
Big Responsibility.
Being a smaller, founder-led organization allows us to stay close to the families we serve, remain connected to the professionals doing the work, respond when something is not working, and continue improving without losing sight of why RABT exists in the first place.
We do not want families to feel like case numbers moving through a system.
We want families to know the people behind their care. We want our team to know them. And we want the support we provide to continue making a difference when we are no longer in the room.
Real Life Happens Beyond the Session.
At home. In the community. Around the dinner table. During the morning rush. On difficult afternoons. And in thousands of ordinary moments that will never happen inside a therapy session.
That's where the skills matter.
That's where confidence matters.
And that's where we believe meaningful change should last.
