Parent and coach reviewing a behavior plan together at home

Here's what happens when you reach out

No intake forms. No waitlist maze. Just a straightforward path from "I need help" to "I have a plan."

1

Free Consultation

We learn about your family, your child, and what's been hardest. No pressure, no commitment — just a real conversation to make sure we're the right fit.

2

We Find Your Fit

We match you to the right service, explain what the package includes, and set a clear goal so you know exactly what you're working toward.

3

First Session

We get to work. By the end of session one, you'll have your first practical tools and a plan you can start using that same week — not someday.

How sessions actually work

During sessions, we will…

  • Review what's been hard lately and what's been improving
  • Teach new parenting tools and practice them together
  • Run through real-life scripts and routines — not just theory
  • Adjust the plan based on what your home actually needs
  • Celebrate wins — even the small ones, especially the small ones

Between sessions, you will…

  • Practice small daily strategies — these create the biggest change
  • Track what's working and what isn't so we can fine-tune fast
  • Bring real examples back and we'll troubleshoot together

Small changes done consistently beat big changes that burn out.

Tools you can start using right away

Every family leaves with practical tools — not just ideas. Here are four we come back to again and again.

Positive Reinforcement

Catch the behaviors you want more of — and build momentum with praise that feels natural, not forced.

Calm Meltdown Response

Stay calm, use fewer words, focus on safety, and save the teaching for after everyone is regulated.

Better Directions

Clear, simple directions reduce power struggles and help kids follow through without repeated prompting.

Routine Builder

Strengthen one routine at a time — morning, homework, or bedtime — so home feels predictable and steady.

What makes RABT different

There's no shortage of parenting advice online. Here's why working with RABT is different from a book, a podcast, or a generic coaching service.

🏠

We work in your actual life

Sessions happen in your home or virtually — because strategies that only work in an office aren't strategies you can keep. We meet you where the behavior actually happens.

🔄

We coach, we don't just teach

We don't hand you a packet and send you home. We practice with you, adjust in real time, and stay with you through the hard parts until it actually clicks.

🎓

BCBA oversight on every plan

Every family gets a Board Certified Behavior Analyst reviewing their plan — not just a coach working from a script. Clinical experience behind every recommendation.

What you'll walk away with

  • A clear plan based on what your family is dealing with right now — not a generic template
  • Simple scripts for hard moments so you don't have to wing it when things escalate
  • A routine you can follow without turning your entire life into a chart factory
  • A way to track progress so we can adjust quickly and keep momentum going
  • Weekly wins to build confidence — for you and your child
"We had tried everything by the time we found RABT. What was different was that they didn't just give us a list of tips — they actually worked through it with us until we got it. Within three weeks, our mornings went from a war zone to something I'd almost call smooth."
— Parent of a 6-year-old, Hendersonville NC

Your Between-Session Win Tracker

Change happens between sessions — not just during them. Most parents miss progress because they're waiting for something dramatic. We're looking for something smaller and more important: evidence that what you're doing is working. Here's what to watch for.

🎯

Behavior Wins

Did your child handle a tough moment better than they used to — even slightly? That counts.

e.g. "He still got upset, but he didn't throw anything this time."
😌

Regulation Wins

Did a meltdown end faster? Did your child recover with less help than before? That's real progress.

e.g. "She was calm again in 10 minutes instead of 45."
📅

Routine Wins

Did mornings, homework, or bedtime run more smoothly than the week before? Even once? Write it down.

e.g. "He got his shoes on without a battle three days in a row."
💬

Connection Wins

Was there a moment of real cooperation, genuine pride, or unexpected warmth? Those count more than you think.

e.g. "She said thank you without being reminded. First time ever."
This week's biggest win

Before your next session, write down the one moment that felt like a real step forward — big or small. This is where we start.

📋

Bring it to your session. Screenshot this page, jot it in your notes app, or just remember the story. We open every session by reviewing what went well — because building on what works is faster than fixing what doesn't.

Frequently asked questions

How soon will I see results?

Most families notice small shifts within the first one or two weeks — not because the work is easy, but because we start with strategies you can use immediately. Bigger, more stable change usually shows up by sessions three or four, when consistency starts to build. We track progress together so you always know where you are.

What if the strategies aren't working?

That's exactly what sessions are for. We review what's happening, figure out why something isn't landing, and adjust. No strategy works perfectly out of the box for every family — that's why we don't hand you a plan and disappear. We stay in it with you.

Does my child need a diagnosis to work with RABT?

No. Our services are open to any family dealing with behavioral challenges, big emotions, attention struggles, or routine breakdowns — with or without a formal diagnosis. During your free consultation, we'll confirm the right fit for your situation.

Can both parents or caregivers be involved?

Yes, and we encourage it. Consistency across caregivers is one of the biggest drivers of lasting change. We can work with co-parents, grandparents, or anyone else who's regularly involved in your child's day.

What's the difference between this and therapy?

RABT's services are private-pay behavior coaching packages — not clinical therapy or ABA funded by insurance. Our focus is on practical, real-life strategies for behavior, routines, and family dynamics. If your family needs insurance-funded ABA services for autism, we'll point you in the right direction during your consultation.
