Calm & Connected
A short, supportive coaching program for children with anxiety or big emotions. We help your child build real coping skills — and help caregivers learn how to support regulation in everyday moments, so calm becomes something your family can practice and repeat.
We focus on skill-building over compliance, and we practice during calm states so skills are there when it matters most.
Who this is for
- Children who worry a lot, avoid tasks, or get "stuck" in anxious moments
- Kids who escalate quickly or have big emotional reactions
- Families who want calmer routines and better recovery after hard moments
- Caregivers who want a clear plan for when emotions rise
What we'll work on
- Emotion awareness — naming feelings and noticing body cues
- Coping tools — breathing, grounding, movement-based regulation
- Co-regulation skills for caregivers — calm tone, minimal language, support vs. space
- A step-by-step calm-down routine plus a plan that travels to school and community
How Calm & Connected works
Across four sessions, we build a foundation of emotional awareness, teach a small set of effective coping tools, practice a calm-down routine, and put it all into a simple plan your family can use at home and beyond.
Build awareness
We help children recognize and label feelings and body signals, so emotions feel understandable — not scary. Caregivers learn how to model emotion language in daily life.
Teach coping tools
We create a small "toolbox" of calming strategies and practice them while calm first, so they're easier to access later when emotions show up.
Make it real life
We build a simple calm-down routine, practice real scenarios, and create a plan that helps your child — and caregivers — recover, reset, and keep going.
We keep the exact coaching prompts and practice methods inside sessions, so the plan stays personalized to your child.

Frequently asked questions
Is this therapy?
Calm & Connected is a skills-based coaching package designed to build emotional regulation tools at home. During your consultation, we'll confirm fit and recommend the best next step for your family.
Will my child use the coping tools when they're upset?
That's the goal, and we build toward it. We practice during calm moments first so skills are easier to access later — then we gradually apply them in real situations with caregiver support.
Do caregivers have to be involved?
Yes. Caregiver involvement is a core part of the program so strategies stay consistent across environments and last beyond sessions.
